Rawabi Holding, in cooperation with Dr. Mubarak Abdul Hadi Al Dosari, an expert in vocational guidance and owner of Rowad Knowledge Consulting, recently organized a one-day workshop for juveniles in the Correctional Facility in Dammam on “Color Q Personality Test” which allowed participants to learn more about personality patterns in relation to future careers through colors.
The juveniles (aged 16-24), under the guidance of Al Dosari, who is a licensed trainer of the Arabic version of the Color Q Personality Test, provides insights on personality types, temperaments and their corresponding needs, values, talents and behaviors that are most compatible to match their future careers.
The initiative is part of Rawabi Holding’s outreach program to promote youth empowerment and motivate out-of-school youth to discover their hidden talents and potential for stable career. Rawabi Holding’s stakeholders believe that the current thrust will bring about a positive change in Saudi Arabia.
Mrs. Hanaa AlMoaibed, Corporate Social Responsibility Unit Head at Rawabi Holding, said “Rawabi Holding understands the importance of public and private sector partnership to successfully deliver the message across.”
“These initiatives,” she said “aim to enhance ‘self-discovery’ and close the gap between those who have the access, skills, and opportunities to be successful and those who do not have.”
She pointed out that “while some young people are prospering, those on the other side of the divide lack the skills, education, experiences and connections to get employment that are required to survive and thrive. Closing this opportunity divide is one of Rawabi Holding’s most important goals. This initiative proves that we can all take the road together – to secure the future of our youth.”
In appreciation of Rawabi Holding’s measure, Mr. Abdulrahman AlMuqbil, Director of the Correctional Facility in Dammam, said “Saudi Arabia’s youth are potential future human capital should they be equipped with appropriate and adequate skills to enable them to enter the job market or build their own businesses.”
He further said “Rawabi Holding’s CSR initiatives are not only an affirmation of the importance of community partnership, but a proof that empowering youth has paid off with positive and concrete results.” “As a result of their efforts, our facility is proud to join in these endeavors,” he added.
Another “self-discovery” program undertaken by Rawabi Holding is the Rawabi Talent Exhibit (RTE) which enables youth to discover professions. RTE is a public event that provides an interactive experience for high school and college students to learn about different careers and opportunities through interacting with experts on the day-to-day life in such careers.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, RTE sheds light on the nature of the various professions and diverse opportunities for young people.
The event will host students from all schools in the Eastern region, where young people from the community will share their success stories and inspire the youth to explore new opportunities.
