Oman’s manpower ministry has warned it will not render services to private sector firms not hiring Omani nationals, and set deadlines spread over the coming months, Muscat Daily has reported. Among the steps the ministry may take against establishments not complying with the Omanisation policy is not renewing visas for their expatriate employees. The date of implementation of the decision will start from March 1 for companies categorised as ‘excellence’, ‘international’ or ‘consultancies,’ April 1 for Class I establishments, and May 1 for Class II firms, the ministry said.
