Qatar market bounces back
After falling for two days, the Qatar market index (QE 20) re-gained territory on Thursday, May 8, closing 0.31 per cent higher at 12,961.40 points. Al Khaliji Commercial Bank advanced by 0.05 per cent to QAR23.08. Earlier in the day, the lender announced the opening of its latest branch at The Pearl Qatar, a manmade holiday and residential island in northwest of Doha. “This is the third Al Khaliji branch to open in the past six months; all are situated in strategic locations to ensure convenience for the bank’s high-end customer base,” reads a company statement.
