Deutsche Bank announces Senior Regional Private Wealth Management appointment

Henry Azzam, Chief Executive Officer for Deutsche Bank for the Middle East North Africa region, said:

“Deutsche Bank’s Private Wealth Management enterprise has a long and established history in the region, and we believe Nasim’s appointment to this important regional position will further solidify our offering.”

Salman Mahdi said, “Dubai continues to be an attractive and important financial hub from which our teams can build relationships with leading South Asian families in the Region. Its role as a wealth management centre can only grow in future.”

Mahdi added, “We are strengthening our presence in Dubai under Nasim’s leadership so that Deutsche Bank’s vast global expertise and resources can be optimally delivered to our clients.”

The South Asian diaspora, comprising clients of Sub-Continental origin, remains a key focus for Deutsche Bank. The community is serviced globally from London, Geneva, Zurich, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong, through a growing team of over 60 professionals.

Ahmad has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry, the last two decades and half of which were focused on private wealth management. Before joining Deutsche Bank in 2007, he had previously held senior positions with Citi Bank, Swiss Bank Corp. and UBS, in Geneva and London.

Ahmad is a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Punjab in Lahore, and a Master’s degree in Law and Development Economics from McGill University. He is an Associate and Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in London.
