Panasonic introduces four new smart, stylish models of Digital Cordless Phones in the Middle East
Panasonic, the worldwide number one brand of cordless telephones, has expanded its range of Digital Cordless Phones (DECT) with the launch of four new sleek and smart models- KX-PRS110, KX-PRW110, KX-PRX110 and KX-PRX150, in the Middle East.
The premium handsets sport a sophisticated and modern design with much easier to navigate layouts and functions to provide a smooth experience at home or in office.
The KX-PRW110 combines a sophisticated design with an advanced state-of-the-art Smartphone Connect functionality for smartphone and tablet users, with additional rich and unique features. It is the perfect choice for business professionals as well as families, offering a very unique horizontal lay-down style handset for an easy grab and grip as well as a hook-like charger with a magnetic adaptor, enabling the handset to sit securely in place. Users also enjoy the premium touch and feel thanks to the real metal material on the handset. It benefits from the inclusion of a Wi-Fi feature which broadens your communication abilities. With the Smartphone Connect Application, your smartphone transforms into a DECT handset. You can register up to four devices such as your smartphone and tablet via Wi-Fi as a handset and also register five additional DECT handsets. With an incoming call, there is no need to rush to your DECT handset, as you can also take the call with your smartphone at home which can support both i-phone and android.
KX-PRS110 model demonstrates a compact and slim design, with a simple but stylish form and rich functionality that ensures excellent performance. The subtle surface of the handset facilitates tactile differentiation of each key. Even with its slim shape, the handset has a good grip and can stand up by itself for an easier hands-free conversation.
The KX-PRX110 digital cordless phone will run on the Android operating system allowing users to enjoy various options for communicating in addition to conventional voice communication via the landline. In addition to the DECT interface, there is a Wi-Fi® / Bluetooth® interface on the handset. The KX-PRX110 has been designed to be lightweight, compact and easy to carry. One can receive incoming landline calls in and around the house as far as the DECT signal will reach. The comfortable size of the touch screen also enables a more intuitive and comfortable operation of the device.
The KX-PRX platform is based on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and supports Google Play which enables users to download their favourite applications, access their social networks, or share a photo album with family and friends. It can be used as a video phone thanks to the built-in front camera enabling users to enjoy video communication by Skype. In addition to voice communication, users can enjoy other types of communication –such as E-mail, SNS, video, or schedule sharing (Google Calendar).
Other features include 3.5 inch TFT colour LCD (HVGA) with capacitive multi touch screen, GPS, 0.3M pixel Front Camera,1450mAh Li-ion Battery, microSD / microSDHC Card Slot on Handset, micro USB Charging Port and Incoming/Outgoing Call Barring to help minimise unwanted or nuisance calls.
KX- PRX 150 looks like a smartphone from the early Android years. But behind its archaic-looking chassis hides an innovative combination: a landline phone and a smartphone in one. The telephone usage is this device’s main emphasis, is reflected in the user interface. The home screen presents a landline app that leads to oversized buttons for controlling the main functions of a home phone, like internal calls, voice mail and caller lists. The status bar also shows its dual-functionality: it displays both the mobile network signal and the home network separately.
Just like any smartphone, you can easily insert the SIM card for it to be mobile accessible. With the power of two networks, the address book will be available for both mobile communications and fixed networks. Email, calendar, and social networks can be checked from a landline, and you can pick up messages from your fixed line voice mail on your smartphone. What’s more, you can use the cheapest rates with the same phone. Before each call, you can choose between landline and mobile networks.
It has a 3.5-inch display, a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and a 2 MP back-facing camera. It has a 1 GHz MT6575 processor and an internal storage of around 512 MB. It runs on Android 4.0.4 and has a 1,450 mAh battery.
“With over 15 years of experience in the DECT market and even longer in the audio market, Panasonic boasts the know-how when it comes to superior sound quality. All of the new handsets feature outstandingly clear sound even when far away from the base unit, thanks to the error correction system which enables clearer phone conversations with fewer interruptions. Whether you are in the house, down in the basement or outside on the patio, you can enjoy glitch-free conversations”, said Tsujigami Shimpei, General Manager, Consumer Marketing Division, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa (PMMAF).
Panasonic’s DECT phones feature the Noise Reduction Function that help towards reducing the background noise of the person with whom you are speaking.
