As part of General Motors new, strong approach to grow the Cadillac brand in the Middle East, it has appointed Felix Weller as its new Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing Director – Cadillac.
Weller leads Cadillac after three years as the Sales Director for Audi Middle East. He spent a total of seven years in the region with Audi where he was also responsible for establishing its Dealer Development program focusing on quality at the point of sale. Prior to this, Weller spent 10 years with Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart. First in financial controlling, then in sales management roles, responsible for overseas markets, including the Middle East.
The new role at General Motors was created specifically to support the auto giant’s renewed focus on the luxury brand.
“We know that the demand for luxury vehicles is growing and fast. For instance, in the UAE, our Cadillac brand had 10.2% sales growth last year. We have more Cadillacs on the road now than ever before,” said Maurice Williams, President and Managing Director of General Motors Middle East.
But the luxury automaker wants to go further. Its new Director explained, “We want to capitalize on our growth and for Cadillac to stand out even further as a key luxury brand in the Middle East,” said Weller. “Cadillac and the region have a joint history based on common values.”
“Cadillac is about highly sophisticated, bold, and daring vehicles as well as a dynamic driving experience – we want to further strengthen the brand by bringing these facts to the fore,” he added.
Cadillac, which already offers customers a comprehensive aftersales package included in the vehicle price, will continue to focus on premium service, caring for its existing customers and introducing new ones to its luxury lineup of vehicles.
The lineup of course, includes the iconic and highly anticipated 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV, which is due to hit showroom floors over summer.
