Mannai Auto Group through GMC will provide official transport- GMC Acadia 2014 for the “Love is in the Air” concert featuring Side A and Nina, which will be held at Al-Gharafa Sports Club for one day only on Friday, March 7, 2014.
Mr Ivor D’Cunha General Manager – Operations, Mannai Auto, said: “GMC is the Official Transport provider for the concert because the Filipino Community is one of our customer base and we want to demonstrate our support to the community. The GMC Terrain and Subaru XV are the highest selling cars among our Filipino customers and therefore, both vehicles will be displayed at the venue during the concert.
The show is being organized by Hauz of Events. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. The much awaited concert features acclaimed artists honoring the Filipino community in Qatar.
Side A – is a Filipino pop show band formed in 1985 who gained recognition in the Filipino music scene in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, best known for their hit single “Forevermore”. In terms of commercial success, no other group in the Philippines was able to match Side A’s track record in the ’90s. In 1993, the group’s third album went triple platinum and in the mid-1990s, Side A garnered two Awit Awards; the Philippines’ equivalent of the Grammys.
Nina – Marifil Nin?a Girado, better known by her stage name Nina, is a Filipino pop/R&B singer, occasional songwriter, record producer, TV and radio personality. Following the release of her debut album, she received numerous awards from different organizations and multiple album certifications by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. She established her position in the Philippine music industry in 2005, after releasing her third album Nina Live! The album earned her the first ever Diamond award for a female OPM artist.
