The main aim of Earth Hour is to encourage each citizen, business and community to take action towards controlling energy consumption. TAC believes that a series of small steps on a regular basis will help improve the quality of life for the coming generations in Oman and also help retain Oman’s natural beauty. The company requested all their employees to actively participate in the Earth hour campaign, even in their homes and with their families.
Taking this further, as part of the company’s internal communications campaign, TAC has and continues to highlight the importance of reducing their carbon footprint by emphasising the use of recycled paper, switching off of all electrical appliances and air conditioning when not in use, minimising the use of fuel and water, to list a few.
