Emax, the largest electronics retailer in the Middle East, part of Landmark Group, has surpassed its initial sales projections for GITEX Shopper by 15%, striking a 40% surge in sales compared to the last October edition of the Show.
“This was an amazing GITEX Shopper for Emax”, said Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO, Emax. “The first four days of the show, we were on our way to achieve our target of 30% sales growth, but as the last four days coincided with Eid-Al-Adha holiday, a substantial number of shoppers from the region visited the show, giving a push to the already strong performance of Emax and taking the sales curve further upward to reach a stunning 40% increase”.
Emax sales growth was led by an unexpected stronger demand on laptops, with smartphones and UHD TVs following as the second and third most sold products respectively. Smartphones, however, led shoppers’ demand across Emax stores in the UAE, which offered the same deals and promotions of Emax at GITEX Shopper.
Emax offered its consumers incredible bargains and deals across their product range in all categories including 20,000 guaranteed free two way air tickets to one of 25 international destinations.
“We will spare no efforts to create the highest value and most tangible rewarding experience for customers during GITEX Shopper as well as throughout the year”, explained Neelesh.
“GITEX Shopper has become a necessary platform for the tech retail industry, contributing a significant share to the retailers’ bottom-line. The decision to have two editions of the show every year has proven to be simply right and well thought-out”, concluded Bhatnagar.
