Lebanese designer Elie Saab is in expansion mode, taking his brand of fashion excellence online and with more retail presence overseas, Arabian Business Lifestyle reported.

Today, the 53 years old designer runs a multi-million dollar firm with a brand that spans the globe.

Saab will launch a private e-commerce site and moving away from having presence within major retail stores around the world to having his own branded more stores in the US and Europe, where his strong reputation and image are acclaimed.

Last March, Saab inaugurated his first retail store opening in New York, but plans to open five more in the West Coast in cities such as Los Angeles and Miami, but also in Geneva and the French Alps, in addition to presence he already has in London, Paris, Dubai and his home town Beirut, according to the portal.

Early start

Elie Started making designing dresses at the early age of 9, opened his first atelier at 17.

Vogue reported recently that his own online store will likely combine ready-to-wear, bridal and couture gowns.

“However, the site will include Saab’s accessories and perfumes, such as the eyewear collection he launched at the beginning of the year, as well as his scent Girl of Now, which is distributed in over 14,000 points of sale so far,” Vogue said.

For his Fall 2018 line, Vogue’s Runway says that Saab revisited old-school silhouettes with a few modern twists.

“The edited collection of 14 gowns still possessed his signature couture craftsmanship, seen best in the intricately embellished dresses, veils, and metallic threads for subtle shimmer. The setting for the feminine yet strong offering was Saab’s Madison Avenue boutique, where the marble and gilded decor complemented his designs.”
