Nakheel’s Ibn Battuta Mall will be transformed into a music and fashion lovers’ paradise when it hosts its first Fashion Express this weekend as part of its Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) activities.
The unique concept, taking place Friday and Saturday evenings (22 and 23 January) combines the latest in fashion with high-energy music and dance at six of Ibn Battuta’s most popular fashion stores – G2000, LC Waikiki, New Look, Lipsy, Steve Madden and Max – with spectacular shows, prizes and exclusive DSF offers at each.
With live commentary from Virgin Radio’s Kris Fade and Priti Malik, the Fashion Express team of flashmob dancers in themed dress will create a unique show before enticing the audience into the shop where the entertainment will continue with more dancing and a fashion show. Customers can then view and items in the DSF Runway Collection – the clothes worn by the models – from a designated area within the store.
Omar Khoory, Director, Nakheel Retail, said: “DSF 2016 is now in full swing and Fashion Express will bring even more energy and vibrancy to Ibn Battuta Mall this weekend. This unique, exciting concept is sure to delight fashionistas, music lovers, dance fans and shoppers who simply happen to be there when the shows take place.”
Ibn Battuta’s Fashion Express shows are at the following times and venues, with a fashion buggy, accompanied by a DJ and emcee, moving between each store to build crowd interest.
Visitors to Ibn Battuta and Dragon Mart malls can also win one of eight brand new cars under Nakheel’s AED1.1 million DSF car giveaway. Spend AED250 at Ibn Battuta for the chance to drive home in a Mercedes Benz or AED200 at Dragon Mart for the chance to win a Jeep Wrangler. Prize draws take place every Sunday throughout DSF.
