The world’s best theme parks at a glance

August 25, 2016 2:12 pm

Entertainment theme parks and water parks attract millions of visitors from around the world. They are not only a wonderland for children, but have evolved to become a favoured destination for adults as well.

Thanks to their success, popular theme parks make millions of dollars in revenue, helped by the fact that most of them welcome visitors all year long. This is one big reason explaining why new, innovative and amusing theme parks are opening around the world, as they are regarded as a lucrative investment.

Below is a list of the world’s most popular and most entertaining entertainment complexes:

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

Known simply as Disneyworld, this entertainment park in the state of California is the largest in the world. It was opened in 1971 and has welcomed 137.9 million visitors in 2015, according to the 2015 Theme Index: Global Attractions Attendance Report, published by the Themed Entertainment Association.
