The Middle East PR Association (MEPRA) launched the sixth annual MEPRA awards programme to recognize public relations (PR) practitioners from across the region. The awards ceremony will be attended by the Middle East’s best performers in PR and regional representatives of some of the world’s leading PR firms.

The Awards seek to recognise and reward agencies, teams and individuals practicing and delivering excellence in the public relations sector in the Middle East, and is backed by some of the region’s top performers in the industry.
MEPRA’s Chair, Nicola Gregson, , said: “As we enter our sixth year, the Middle East PR Awards continue to offer an unmatchable platform on which PR practitioners can showcase the creativity, hard work and value PR brings to the region’s communications industry.

“I strongly encourage those involved in the PR industry throughout the region to enter. In addition to the professional credibility, peer recognition and personal and team motivation that comes with being awarded such an accolade, the Middle East PR Awards play an important part in the ongoing measurement and development of our industry in the Middle East, of which all winners are a key component.”

The Middle East PR Awards scheme is considered the leading awards programme in the Middle East for the public relations industry. In 2014, 12 best practice categories, plus team and individual awards will underline the depth and range of the industry and will recognise the achievements of the PR sector.

As an organisation, MEPRA recognises the importance of personal development, especially in young PR practitioners and offers regular training and development opportunities to individuals. This is further demonstrated in the awards categories targeted at identifying and rewarding the region’s shining stars of PR, including the ‘Young Communicator of the Year’ and ‘Chairman’s Award’ categories.

Those wishing to submit entries for the 2014 Middle East PR Awards must register and complete the written element of their entry online before the deadline of midnight on Thursday 09 October 2014. Supporting documentation is welcomed and should also reach the MEPRA office by Thursday 09 October 2014.

The MEPRA awards ceremony and gala dinner will be held on Wednesday 26 November 2014 at the Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa. For more information please visit
