The Omani information ministry has said the 19th Muscat International Book Fair will have no bar on sale of any books written and published locally or abroad, Times of Oman has reported. In view of an open and free environment, no book was banned and no title was seized,” said information minister, Dr Abdul Mun’em bin Mansour Al Hasani. “As there is a possibility of books reaching readers electronically through the internet, there is no logic to ban these,” noted Al Hasani.
