In its third participation in the survey, Omnicom Media Group MENA, the holding of OMD, PHD, Integral and Resolution, has been recognized as the third best employer in the UAE by the Great Place to Work Institute. This year, on the back of an even stronger staff endorsement, the group moved up four places in the global research and management consultancy’s ranking of the country’s 15 best employers.
The “Best Companies to Work for in the UAE” ranking is established by the Great Place to Work Institute on the basis of an evaluation of each participating company. Two-thirds of the company’s score is based on the results of the Institute’s Trust Index survey sent to all employees of each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management’s credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction. The other third of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the Institute’s Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefits programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring, communication and development.
The Trust Index score for the marketing communications holding group jumped significantly from the previous year, intimating a strong buy-in for the company’s programs, policies and practices. All of these are designed to stimulate happiness at work, which Omnicom Media Group MENA sees as the start of a virtuous circle leading to sustainable productivity and business performance.
In its assessment, the GPTW Institute noted that Omnicom Media Group MENA’s keen focus on work/life balance makes it a leading example of how to integrate health and wellness into a company’s culture. The genuine dedication and commitment from senior leaders to its HR forums has enabled the nurturing of a welcoming and supportive team environment for all employees. Discussing company initiatives, policies, idea generation, learning and development, they enhance the collaboration between management and employees and create empowerment across the entire organization.
“As the field widens, staying in the top 15 gets harder every year so improving our position so significantly is a remarkable feat. It is a very clear endorsement of the policies and practices we have put in place,” Elie Khouri, CEO of Omnicom Media Group MENA, stated following the announcement. “This benchmark is a very important factor of our talent management approach and we deeply value not only the feedback but also the inspiration it provides us. The results speak for themselves and we couldn’t be more humbled by the endorsement of our teams.”
“Over the years, we have developed a comprehensive program that is delivering strong results. Not only are we maintaining this approach, we are also fine-tuning and building on it to ensure greater effectiveness as our teams grow and evolve,” added Fadi Chamat, regional executive director-talent & organizational development at Omnicom Media Group MENA.
