OSN, the region’s leading pay-TV network, has once again reinforced its position as the only destination for world-class high definition programming, with the launch of Discovery Networks International’s (DNI) TLC HD. The brand new HD channel, available exclusively on OSN, will also showcase the best programming from OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
Launching on Monday 24th March, TLC HD brings the number of Discovery Networks channels currently available on OSN to six, as it joins Discovery Channel HD, Discovery Science HD, Animal Planet HD, Discovery World, and Investigation Discovery.
March also marks the rebirth of OSN Movies Premiere, OSN Movies Drama, and the History Channel in high definition – increasing the total number of HD channels on OSN to 44, the largest HD offering in the region.

Broadcasting the best in meaningful entertainment and ‘real’ reality, TLC HD will showcase authentic stories from real life characters that captivate and entertain, all in stunning high definition. Key programme genres include weddings, fashion, food, family and alternate lifestyles, as well as the biggest hits from OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
At launch, key series on the channel will include OWN’s Oprah’s Next Chapter, featuring in-depth interviews with some of the world’s biggest celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Jennifer Hudson; and Super Soul Sunday, Oprah’s thought-provoking and inspirational series designed to help viewers awaken their best selves.
The channel will also feature a weekly wedding night with global hits such as Brides of Beverley Hills; glamorous shopaholics in Ultimate Shopper with Holly Valance; eccentric family fun in Here Comes Honey Boo Boo; and unusual subcultures in Breaking Amish. With these and many other new shows TLC HD will be a refreshing new destination for modern Middle Eastern women.
