The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in which German racer Nico Rosberg won the Formula One championship title on Sunday, is a pure sports affair, at a first glance.

But given the grandeur of the event, it is a truly global one and brands from around the world are involved in it.

There are different teams and drivers involved and an army of brands sponsoring, supplying and supporting each team. So here are the brands involved with the Grand Prix itself.

Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways is a title sponsor of the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The sponsorship commenced at the inauguration of the event in 2009 and continues till date.

National Bank of Abu Dhabi

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) is the Official Founding Partner for YAS Marina Circuit. NBAD has been the Official Bank of the event since its inauguration in 2009, and had recently renewed the multi-year partnership earlier in November.

 

AMG

AMG is the high performance division of German carmaker Mecedes-Benz. It is the Official Partner for YAS Marina Circuit, but it also has two of its own team competing, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Richard Mille

Richard Mille is the Official Timing Partner for YAS Marina Circuit. It has also sponsored several Formula One drivers, including Romain Grosjean, Felipe Massa, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne.

Other partners include: Al Ain water, LG Electronics, ADNOC, YAS Mall, Emirates Foundation, Valvoline, Hackett, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Firelli, Jaguar and Chevrolet.
