PODCAST: Deloitte cyber attacks spread fears among blue chip businesses

September 27, 2017 5:00 pm

Deloitte, known as one of the world’s “big four” accountancy firms has been the latest target of a cyber attack.

Darkmatter, UAE cyber security specialists, shared with AMEinfo the results of an audio interview it had this morning with Alan White, its Vice President of Cyber Advisory Services.

This was a sophisticated hack that Deloitte admitted might have compromised the confidential emails and plans of some of its blue-chip clients.

It’s the second major cyber attack this month targeting major enterprises.

Earlier in September, over 143 million customer accounts at Equifax, the US credit monitoring agency, had either been accessed or tampered, causing the company to reassess and/or overhaul its security and IT systems.
