Agency 222 wins big at Dubai Lynx Awards 2014
Celebrating the best of creative advertising, marketing and design in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, Agency 222 was proud to accept five awards at the eighth annual Dubai Lynx Awards 2014 which took place on March 12th, 2014 at the Madinat Arena, Madinat Jumeirah.
Agency 222’s campaigns took home two silvers and two bronzes and topped off this success with 2nd place in the special award category for the MENA wide Independent Agency of the Year.

Agency 222’s winning works involved a campaign for Maersk Oil Qatar and Novo Nordisk Gulf’s Action on Diabetes initiative, “Fingers to Diabetes” which received two silvers for best use of digital and public interest in Promo & Activation and one bronze for Branded Content. With Qatar having the 8th highest rate of diabetes globally and most people too frightened to take the test for Diabetes because of a fear of needles, “Fingers to Diabetes” aimed at encouraging people to get tested by making the experience fun and stress free. People were invited to give a finger to Diabetes on World Diabetes Day. At the event special tents with professional artists took photos of fingers and created the participants finger portraits on site. These were then uploaded onto a microsite where people could download them as a profile picture using a special link. In only three days, over 1500 people got screened for Diabetes.
“Buckle up with Pride”, a Road Safety Campaign for Mas Holding won bronze in the Outdoor category. The campaign used the occasion of Qatar National Day 2013 to distribute a seat belt cover that Qataris could be proud of. The results were outstanding with over 600 covers distributed and massive appreciation from Qatari youth.
