Memac Ogilvy holds its annual Red Breakfast event in Egypt
Memac Ogilvy, Middle East and North Africa’s network of the year, held its annual internal Red Breakfast to honor Edmond Moutran, Chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy Group who was recently granted the prestigious Dubai Lynx Advertising Person 2014 Award.
During the meeting, Moutran stressed on the remarkable journey Memac Ogilvy had in 2014, a year capped by the unprecedented feat of winning both the Network of the Year and the company’s Dubai office was named Agency of the Year.
“2014 caps a remarkable journey for us,” said Moutran. “We started life 30 years ago this year, with one client and four staff. Today, we have shown once again that we are the region’s most creative communications agency. I could not be more proud of everyone at Memac Ogilvy. I believe that there are many awards we can obtain. Each one of us needs to apply the creativity to every single discipline within the work. This is our way for better future,” Eddie added.
Moutran emphasized on pervasive creativity as a main pillar for next year and the years to come. He explained how creativity was a turning point in the company’s life towards one of the most awarded agencies in the Arab world. “Creativity is not a restricted area for the creative team; it should be applied to every single discipline within the agency. We have a longing to creativity, and our passion in applying it on every single project we handle is what distinguishes us,” said Moutran. “By being intuitive, proactive and creative we can tell our clients something they never heard and make sure we are invaluable to them,” he explained.
Part of the Red Breakfast, Memac Ogilvy clients were invited to ‘Meet the Man’ and discuss his lifetime experience in the world of advertising and its impact on consumer needs especially with the introduction of Social media, an essential component of an effective communications and marketing strategy. Moutran also introduced the company’s expanded solutions ‘Ogilvy health’ and ‘Ogilvy entertainments’ which will be launched soon.
Memac Ogilvy last showed off its creative muscles by winning 46 awards at this year’s Dubai Lynx Awards, the Oscars of the advertising and communications industry in the Middle East. The winning included 2 Grand Prix, 14 Gold, 23 Silver and 7 Bronze awards on top of the 72 shortlists. Also the company’s Dubai office was named Agency of the Year. It was an amazing night for the agency where Edmond Moutran, received the prestigious Dubai Lynx Advertising Person 2014 Award.
