BIBF surpasses global pass rates in securities and investment qualifications
BIBF recently celebrated the attainment of outstanding pass rates in the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) qualifications.
Mrs. Banya Bhattacharya, a part-time lecturer at BIBF, scored 100% in the International Introduction to Securities and Investment (IISI) exam offered by the CISI, and is ranked as the top performer for this certification. She received a shield in recognition of her performance at the Annual Awards for Top Exam Performers held recently by CISI at the Mansion House in London.
The second cohort of CISI’s International Certificate in Wealth Management (ICWM) achieved a 90% success rate, also exceeding global scores. The programme started in October 2013 and participants included customer relationship managers, dealers, asset liability coordinators and investment directors, employed by local banks and investment firms. The programme aims to increase the participants’ knowledge in the wealth management industry and ensure delivery of unparalleled client service by providing sound financial advice in the areas of investment, retirement, protection and estate as well as tax planning.
BIBF Director Solveig Nicklos praised the impressive pass rates of the candidates and noted that the groups’ performance was a significant indicator of the teaching quality offered at BIBF and its commitment to educational excellence.
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment is the largest and most widely respected UK-based professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in a growing number of major financial centres round the world. Evolved from the London Stock Exchange, the CISI now has 40,000 members in 89 countries and offers a wide range of internationally recognised vocational qualifications.
