Bosch Middle East fastest growing region for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket as 2013 sales soar
Robert Bosch Middle East has continued its trend as the fastest growing region for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket globally, as the world-leading automotive supplier today announced double digit sales growth across the region in 2013.
Revenue for the German-based Corporation covering the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Levant, Pakistan and North East Africa grew significantly by 14 per cent last year.
It also added 84 Bosch Car Service workshops, Express Car Service Centres and Diesel Service workshops across the region in 2013, bringing the total tally of automotive aftermarket service centres to 291.
This year Bosch Automotive Aftermarket plans to open 100 service centres across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), further underlining the region’s growing status as one of the most important growth markets for the automotive sector.
“2013 was another very successful year for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket in the Middle East and Africa region, which is one of our fastest growing regions globally”, said Andreas Bodemer, Vice President for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket, Middle East and Africa.
“The income from our core assets within the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket group of diagnostics equipment, car control units, diesel systems, spark plugs, batteries, rotating machines and wipers grew significantly, while our dedicated fleet of automotive service centres continues to expand.
“Having posted double digit sales growth for several years in a row, we are very confident of another successful year in 2014, and look forward to extending our services and reach to new markets across the region.”
Robert Bosch Middle East witnessed significant sales increase across all its Automotive Aftermarket product categories, with wipers (38 per cent growth), control units (37 per cent growth) and diagnostics equipment (24 per cent growth) in particular doing very well in 2013.
Diesel Systems (20 per cent sales growth), batteries (10 per cent growth), spark plugs (16 per cent growth), and rotating machines (6 per cent growth), also fared well.
By the end of 2014, the leading international supplier of automotive technology and services will have almost 400 Bosch Car Service workshops, Express Car Service Centres and Diesel Service workshops across the region, up 30 per cent from the current amount.
