Egypt to cut gas supplies for fertiliser and cement plants

Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co (EGAS) has said it has cut around 380 million cu ft daily of total cement and fertilisation factory consumption, which is estimated at approximately 920 million cu ft, as a result of declining gas production rates in the country, Daily News Egypt has reported. Daily cement factory consumption has been reduced by 250 million cu ft daily from 410 million cu ft, while daily fertiliser factory consumption has been cut by 130 million cu ft daily from 510m cu ft, said EGAS’ assistant deputy chairman, Mohammed Hassan.
