Getty Images to explore visual storytelling at Dubai Lynx 2014
Getty Images, a leading global media company will be taking delegates on a journey of visual storytelling at the upcoming Dubai Lynx Festival of Creativity 2014, with the installation of an innovative video wall in the Dubai Lynx Festival Hall.
Produced in collaboration with award-winning production and installation artists The Light Surgeons and unveiled to industry acclaim at the Cannes Lions 2013, the dynamic video wall draws on Getty Images’ vast library of creative content to explore visionary themes.
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing our video wall to Dubai Lynx. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore and interact with our vast collection of award-winning video, only a selection from over 20,000 hours of clips,” said Paul Foster, Senior Director, Creative Content at Getty Images.
“With global video consumption growing at a very rapid pace, we know video will play a pivotal role in the future of the creative industry. Brands are continually looking for original and innovative ways to tell their stories and engage consumers and we have already seen creatives tell incredible stories with our content, such as Almapp BBDO’s 85 Seconds video. At Getty Images we are proud to offer customers a service like no other, whether it be informing campaigns from our creative trends forecasting or providing content solutions from our vast library, and we look forward to sharing this with the delegates at Dubai Lynx.”
Stationed next to the Jumeirah Coffee Area, the bespoke wall, made up of eight synonymous screens will allow delegates to interact and engage with Getty Images content in an unparalleled and interactive manner.
The installation features within a wider theme of visual storytelling with Getty Images, who will be on site to help delegates discover a world in motion and to experience firsthand the endless possibilities of storytelling with the company’s content collections of over 1.8 million clips and 60 million images online. In addition, delegates will be directed towards Getty Images’ own trend research resource, Curve, where customers can tap into global research on the visual trends of tomorrow.
For the 6th consecutive year, Getty Images will continue its sponsorship and support of the Young Lynx Competitions at the Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity. The competitions provide MENA’s up and coming generation of creative talent the opportunity to showcase their skills in a race against the clock. Getty Images will be the exclusive content provider across the competition categories Integrated, Media and Print, enabling contestants to draw from its broad range of creative, editorial, archival and music collections, to help them produce inspiring and award-winning work of their own.
Foster continues, “We are proud to offer continued support to Young Lynx contestants, helping them to fulfill their potential and create award-winning campaigns with the best content available.”
