International Family Medicine Conference & Exhibition Kicks off
Under the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, the International Family Medicine Conference & Exhibition kicks off today at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition centre.
IFM is considered an important platform for professional interaction and scientific discourse amongst healthcare specialists and practitioners to develop healthcare services in medical facilities, to keep up with global developments and to discuss various common diseases.
The conference’s agenda this year includes a number of intensive scientific sessions and workshops to improve public health and address non-communicable diseases such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular diseases, Obesity, Asthma and Allergy. IFM hosts 60 participating companies from 50 countries and a number of professional speakers, and it is expecting 2000 visitors.
IFM Conference & Exhibition aims at contributing towards the betterment of health by enhancing Family Medicine concepts inclusive of health promotions, prevention and curative programs as well promoting equity in health accessibility and the delivery of health programs efficiently and effectively to the community. IFM also aims to promote medical tourism in the city of Dubai with the goal to become a major international medical tourism hub as it rapidly expands its healthcare sector and loosens visa requirements for patients.
The International Family Medicine Conference & Exhibition is organized by Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. – member of INDEX Holding and is supported by the Dubai Health Authority and the Global Family Medicine Alliance. It will last for three days and gather top health practitioners and experts under one roof where they can discuss important topics and prominent diseases to help improve the health care services and promote medical tourism in the city of Dubai.
