KFUPM, Huawei ink research programmes deal

Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) has signed an agreement with global ICT solutions provider, Huawei, to provide KFUPM students with access to advanced telecoms systems, Arab News has reported. Under the terms of the deal, Huawei is to form part of the university’s labs and will add value to the course material, thesis work and engineering projects for nearly 1,200 students in the Undergraduate and Master’s programmes by providing them access to advanced wireless, telecomm and computer network equipment.
