KSA to distribute 800,000 free glucometers

The Saudi health ministry has announced it plans to distribute 800,000 blood glucose metres for free to diabetics within the next three years to help them regularly monitor their blood sugar rates, Arab News has reported. The move is part of a nationwide campaign to raise awareness on the effects of type 2 diabetes and its complications, the ministry said.
