MACHINEX Arabia 2014 edition draws to a successful conclusion
The fourth edition of MACHINEX Arabia, Saudi Arabia’s International Machinery and Equipment Exhibition successfully concluded on Wednesday at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events. The exhibition not only gathered the latest and innovative collections of machinery, equipment, technology and techniques for the next years, but also provided the best sourcing and exchange platform for industry buyers to learn top-notch technology and get creative inspiration.
The 4-day show recorded a high number of local and overseas professional trade visitors and buyers visited and sourced at the show. The countries that took part were: Turkey, Austria, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, UK and USA.
The visitors mainly came from the general machinery engineering industry, automobile manufacturing industry, mould die-making industry and components supply industry. The focal points of interests were the sectors of metal cutting machine tools, special purpose machines, automation and motion, precision tools, metal forming machines and components.
Commenting on the show, Zahoor Siddique, Vice President of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions said: “The MACHINEX Arabia event has once again confirmed its significance to the industrial sector in Saudi Arabia. We aimed to provide not only a showcase of new and advanced machines and equipment, but also a forum with engaging and informative discussions by top industry leaders. The 2014 show’s exhibitors presented some of the most sophisticated and high-tech products as well as solutions currently or soon-to-be available on the market.
During his visit to the exhibition, FikretÖzer, the Turkish Consul General said that Turkey is participating with more than 40 companies to present its latest and most advance products, ” The government of Turkey is given such events much attention in order to increase its existence in the Saudi market which is considered as one of the fastest growing economy in the world and due to our strong relation with Saudi Arabia we are offering our best products for Saudi investors.”
He hoped to increase the existing bilateral trade relationship with Saudi Arabia which has reached SR 8 Billion.

We will continue our participation in the next editions as we regard MachinexArabia as an important occasion.”
He continued “Our primary goal at the show was to build bigger brand awareness, and I believe we achieved this with great success.”
The exhibition was inaugurated by MazenBatterjee, vice-chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).
