Nikon takes leading role at PhotoWorld-Dubai 2014
A packed programme of new photography attractions sponsored by Nikon is to be staged for the first time at this year’s PhotoWorld-Dubai exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, May 6-8.
The new Nikon events include a series of full day professional photography masterclasses hosted by international experts, free workshops for exhibition visitors, an exclusive appearance by leading London food photographer Jean Cazals and a new Nikon photography competition and exhibition.
“PhotoWorld-Dubai is a well established annual event but this year’s show will be our most exciting yet,” said exhibition organiser Jean-Marie Jenanji. “The involvement of Nikon and other major names from around the world means there will much more for photography professionals and enthusiasts at this year’s show. It’s very exciting and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors from over 40 countries,” Jean added.
The exclusive masterclasses include two day and one-day courses on high-end photo retouching, videography and food photography. Each session is limited to 25 students and places must be booked in advance (see www.photoworld-dubai.com).
For the first time ever at the show visitors will be able to learn from some of the world’s top practitioners, including re-touching expert Natalia Taffarel, top food photographer Jean Casals and VIP videographer Victoria Grech. There are one-day ladies-only sessions for both Natalia and Victoria’s masterclasses.
Last year 5795 photographers and business owners attended the show, an increase of 10% over the previous year. With more new attractions to be announced the organisers say this year’s event will be significantly bigger.
