Oman’s health ministry’s ambulance staff to be certified

February 22, 2014 12:50 am

The Omani health ministry has said its ambulance staff members are to be certified soon to allow them to function under the newly-constituted regulatory board, Muscat Daily has reported. “The ministry is revamping its ambulance service in a big way. Ambulance staff will be certified as per their academic qualifications,” said the ministry’s advisor for health affairs, Sayyid Sultan bin Yarub al Busaidi. “They will be promoted and receive allowance as per the new regulations. They will also be provided on-the-job training depending upon their qualifications,” he said.
