The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has announced 28 new educational institutions are expected to be opened soon, providing about 10,000 new admissions when the next academic session begins in September, Gulf Times has reported. The regulator said five new international schools have so far been licensed to operate with an aggregate capacity of 2,200 students at all academic levels. Another 23 applications for opening new schools are under study, pending the completion of the missing requirements by the end of this month, said the SEC.
