An electronic system has been launched by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) to control the prescription of mental stimulants and tranquilisers to beneficiary bodies and health organisations, Arab News has reported. The system will include all entities licensed to use tranquilisers, and will be linked with beneficiaries to enable the SFDA to control and follow up on these medications. It will also link prescription of these medications to the patients’ IDs to protect their health, said the regulator.
