The Egyptian government has awarded a consortium led by Turkey’s TAV Airports Holding Company a $387m contract to expand Cairo’s airport Terminal 2 facilities, Ahram has reported. The expansion project aims to increase capacity to up to 7.5 million passengers annually, from the current 3 million passengers. The Saudi Ministry of Haj has agreed to adopt three-pronged measures to avoid congestion at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Gazette has reported. The airport witnessed chaos, confusion and flight delays during last days of Ramadan and Eid holidays. BankDhofar’s and Oman Arab Bank’s (OAB) long-term and short-term foreign currency ratings have been affirmed by credit rating agency Capital Intelligence at ‘BBB+’ and ‘A2,’ respectively, with a ‘stable’ outlook, Muscat Daily has reported. The Kuwait oil minister has said that his country and Saudi Arabia increased oil output in August to avoid a sharp upturn in prices and a negative impact on the world economy, AFP has reported. Iran’s Central Bank Governor Mahmoud Bahmani has announced that India has paid off all oil debts to Iran accumulated this year due to sanctions-related problems, the official IRNA news agency has reported.
