Aldar Properties headquarters, Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi’s Aldar Properties announced Monday the launching of Water’s Edge, an AED2.4 billion waterfront development on Yas Island. The new development will include 2,255 homes distributed among 13 apartment buildings, available for purchase by all nationalities, with prices starting at AED480,000 for the residences.

A new chapter

The National quoted Aldar Chief Executive Mohamed Al Mubarak, saying, “Water’s Edge is the latest chapter in Yas Island’s story – bringing high quality waterfront living to the Emirate.”
Aldar’s website quoted Al Mubarak describing Yas Island as having established itself as Abu Dhabi’s most exciting destination with world-renowned leisure and entertainment attractions, and a range of luxury apartments, townhouses and villas set to welcome residents in the coming years.

Location, location, location

Construction work will begin in December and the project is designed in such a way as to give pedestrian access to all amenities, including a waterfront promenade with multiple dining and retail options.

Aldar added that it aims to begin phased handovers between June and December 2020.  It said that the location of Water’s Edge is strategically located adjacent to the upcoming Sea World theme park and only a five minute walk from Yas Mall, Ferrari World and the Yas Marina Circuit.

Up for grabs

Aldar will be participating in the Dubai edition of Cityscape Global in response to the growing demand from international buyers for its market leading homes in Abu Dhabi. Also, the company will release one building for sale at the exhibition on September 11, 2017.
