Damac Star Properties has appointed Egyptian consultancy firm Engineering Consultants Group (ECG) as lead consultant to provide design and supervision consultancy services for the Capital Bay C Tower in Dubai’s Business Bay district. The company said the 60m-high tower will be designed to offer 131 serviced apartments. It will sit on a 3,246.4m2 plot and will have a built-up area of 22,000m2, consisting of a ground and three podium floors, with 12 typical floors above, Construction Week Online reported. The tower will be the third to be built at the site, with a pair of existing towers linked by a podium already underway. Damac announced in May that it would be building one of its new NAIA By Damac serviced hotel apartment projects at the site, which it said would complete in the final quarter of 2014. It said that the units would be a mix of studios, one-, two- and three-bed serviced apartments, which would have a starting price of around $281,000 (Dhs1mn).
