Dubai Land Department (DLD) has honoured private sector suppliers who have provided it with the highest levels of service during a special ceremony at DLD headquarters. The occasion was enacted to thank those organisations who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and who have gone above and beyond their requirements in fulfilling the terms of their contracts.
Attending the ceremony, which was held in DLD’s conference hall, was HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General of DLD; Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant DG of DLD; department managers at DLD and representatives of companies contracted to the department for the provision of its necessary services.
“Today we are celebrating with our suppliers and strategic partners to thank them for their efforts that have helped towards achieving the DLD Strategic Plan 2015. Their contributions are vital as they also assist in the application of the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015, which is aimed at making the emirate a destination that is an attractive one for business, leisure and living,” said Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General, DLD.
“Our strategy attaches great importance to honouring our outstanding suppliers. We sincerely appreciate their efforts in helping us to achieve our aspirations,” Saad Abdulla Al Hammadi, Director of Finance and Administrative Affairs, DLD. “We believe that by acknowledging their support and communicating with them on an ongoing basis, we provide the right conditions for them to continue in the provision of service excellence,” he added.
DLD chooses its suppliers according to a performance assessment, which involves the meeting of specific criteria. These include high quality and accuracy in delivery and customer service and the ability to overcome the pressures and challenges of working beyond expectations. Among DLD’s standards is an expectation that suppliers can demonstrate harmony with its vision, mission and core values.
“DLD places strict criteria for the selection of its partners based on the finest practices of global supply,” continued Al Hammadi. “When they show dedication in meeting our exacting standards, we feel that it is only right to acknowledge this. The success of many of our operations depends to a large extent on the services that we receive from these third parties and celebratory occasions such as this strengthen our partner relations and further enhances the quality of services that we receive from them,” he added.
