Oman picks contractor for National Museum interior work

Oman’s heritage and culture ministry has awarded Spanish company Acciona Producciones y Diseño, the contract to carry out interior works of the country’s National Museum, Muscat Daily has reported. Construction works on the first phase of the National Museum began in March, 2010. “As much as 95% of phase one’s work is complete and the remaining five per cent is expected to be over in another two month,” said Jamal Hassan al Moosawi, director, National Museum. “We expect the interior works to be completed by the end of this year and the main construction work to end by May,” Moosawi said, adding that the total cost of interior works will come around OR8.9m.
