The National Industrial Training Institute (NITI) is an independent not-for-profit training institution that is being established jointly by Saudi Aramco (SA) and the Technical & Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NITI will train Saudi high school and Colleges of Technology graduates. The main program is of two years followed by 6 to 12 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT).
Kaplan International Colleges, with their Saudi project partner International Institute of Languages (IIL), will oversee curriculum development and delivery of NITI’s academic training modules which includes: English language, math/science, and information technology. The curriculum also contains co-curricular elements such as study skills, life skills, communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving etc.
Kaplan International Colleges is seeking an experienced individual for the role of Principal for NITI. Reporting to the Chief Program Administrator, the successful candidate will be performance driven and enjoy working on projects at a relatively early stage of development. A substantial amount of academic management experience in the education or EFL sector is essential for the post.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the management of academic quality assurance procedures and programs offered by the Institute, including teaching, learning support, assessments and examining, reporting, and cover activities.
Managing and leading the program development process for new programs developed for delivery within the Institute.
Co-ordinating the use of teaching resources to manage the delivery of programs offered by the Institute, including timetabling and room allocation.
Managing and chairing of Academic Boards and coordinating other relevant boards to support academic activities and the management of academic standards in the Institute.
Contributing to the delivery and assessment of teaching programs offered by the Institute (normal teaching load of 4 hours per week).
Representing the Institute at appropriate events and meetings within NITI, KIC and externally.
Other duties as required from time to time by the Chief Program Administrator, including deputizing, when required, for the Chief Program Administrator.
