The eGovernment Authority (eGA) is currently preparing to organize Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2014 along with Bahrain IT Expo which will be held in their seventh version under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT).
Authority’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed announced the formation of the forum’s organizing committee and its members. The committee will be chaired by Bahrain Internet Society Chairman Mr. Nawaf Abdulrahman.
The committee will be in charge of the preparations of both anticipated events, along with the execution of other tasks. It was formed with the participation of representatives on behalf of the eGovernment Authority – acting as the events’ organizing entity; in conjunction with several NGOs.
Committee members include eGovernment Authority Fahad Isa Al Qadi as Vice Chairman; Bahrain Society of Engineers Jameel AlAlawi as the Head of Logistics and Administration Committee; Project Management Institute – Arabian Gulf Chapter Ahmed Naeemi as Head of Sponsorship and Exhibition Committee; Bahrain Internet Society Abdullah Zuwayed as Head of Technical Committee; along with Head of PR and Marketing Committee Sahayer AlHashimi.
Each committee is assigned with several tasks; Logistics and Administration Committee will be in charge of handling all arrangements in relation to the venue, printing and design aspects. Sponsorship and Exhibition Committee will be playing the role of a liaison between companies and national organizations in order to coordinate their participation either as sponsors or exhibitors. The Technical Committee’s responsibility is to coordinate with speakers, organizers, partners and the public. The PR and Marketing Committee is to promote the event through several media channels.
The preparations are underway to organize the forum with a new vision and more comprehensive themes addressing the latest developments in the ICT sector. Further details about the forum and the exhibition will be soon announced during a press conference.
This year’s events will witness, during their inauguration, the announcement of the winning projects of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2014 where His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa will honor the winners.
