GITEX: BMTS and Zoho Corp showcase IoT-based Smart city solutions
* BMTS eyes bigger share in UAE’s IoT based software solutions market
* GITEX Technology Week runs from October 16 to 20
UAE-headquarter integrated building solutions firm Bahri & Mazroei Technical Systems (BMTS) and US-based Zoho Corporation’s enterprise IoT arm WebNMS have together showcased platform solutions for Smart buildings and Smart city initiatives at region’s biggest technology show in Dubai.
They conducted live demonstrations of the modern IoT-based building management, energy monitoring and fire safety solutions at GITEX Technology Week.
Both the companies had signed a partnership agreement in August therefore BMTS will streamline Zoho’s efforts to push into the UAE’s enterprise software space with its IoT platform by WebNMS.
The WebNMS offers re-brandable IoT platform and solutions targeted at enterprises and SMEs looking to improve their efficiency and minimise operational expenses. The platform is designed to address complex IoT implementations that involve proactive monitoring of remote sites, Smart city projects, asset performance monitoring and energy monitoring.
The US firm’s flagship product ‘Symphony IoT Platform’ caters to energy optimisation and remote asset management requirements of enterprises and Smart city projects.
Through the agreement BMTS was aiming to increase its market share in the UAE in providing Internet of Things (IoT) based software solutions to clients and end-users in commercial, industrial, telecommunication, healthcare, transportation and government sectors.
“The union of IoT technology and building management services is aimed at alleviating the existing challenges that customers face due to rigid legacy and propriety systems that offer very little flexibility,” Prabhu Ramachandran, Director of WebNMS under Zoho Corp.
“Symphony IoT from WebNMS commands an edge over its competition through seamless device integration, deployment, data exchange and management,” adds Ramachandran.
“We are delighted to associate with Zoho and their IoT division WebNMS to demonstrate our expertise in the IoT market with state-of-the-art solutions for life safety, energy and building/industry automation. The solutions also cater to asset management, operational and maintenance services with integrated remote control, analytical and monitoring,” said Sivakumar Subramanian, General Manager of BMTS.
“With decades of BMTS knowhow and track record on design, build and construction, our aim is to serve our customers to reduce their capital and operational investments and provide solid performance through combination of IoT sensors, communication, analytical platforms and decision making tools. We strongly believe that this would completely transform our customers to efficiently utilise their assets with the futuristic IoT-based cloud and managed service business models for optimising energy, life safety, security and digital convergence integration,” adds Subramanian.
