Bentley Systems leads infrastructure industry with seminar for leading executives
The Bentley Advantage seminar recently held on 15th of October 2014 in Dubai at The Address Dubai Mall provided exciting updates and insights on the future of Bentley Systems’ innovative software and services for those seeking to maximise return on their existing Bentley investment as well as those seeking a greater understanding of Bentley’s comprehensive and robust portfolio of applications, servers, and services in infrastructure.
The seminar featured presentations by Bentley executives on the latest technologies enabling information mobility across multiple disciplines and the infrastructure design, build, and operations lifecycle. The ultimate goal of the sessions was to help Bentley users maximize the return on their software investments as they improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their projects and/or infrastructure operations.
Alan Kiraly, Bentley’s Senior Vice President, Server Products, Bentley Systems delivered the keynote presentation to around 200 delegates who were in attendance at this event. The keynote presentation highlighted the following topics:
Bentley’s BIM Advancement: In November 2013, during its annual Year in Infrastructure Conference for the world’s leading executives in infrastructure design, construction, and operations, Bentley introduced a new way of looking at BIM, as it advances beyond 3D design and visualization. As explained during the Bentley Advantage seminar, the two directions of this BIM advantage together achieve better-performing assets through increased depth of information mobility and better-performing projects through increased breadth of information mobility.
Richard Thompson, Editorial Director, MEED was also on hand to welcome delegates and introduce the Year in Infrastructure Conference and Be Inspired Awards. The annual Be Inspired Awards program brings together infrastructure professionals and members of academia from around the globe. Its goal is twofold: to advance innovation and best practices in design, engineering, construction, operations, and project delivery, and to promote the extraordinary work of the organizations that help sustain the world’s infrastructure.
The seminar featured presentations detailing Bentley Systems Technology Vision, Product & Solution Road map including advances in OpenRoads technology and 3D City GIS for SMART Cities. As well as a number of demonstrations for Bentley’s portfolio of offshore engineering software and methodologies by which to ensure integrated project delivery through Bentley’s software suites.
Attendees were guided through a presentation on how integration of industry standards SACS and MOSES provides engineers with the control, advanced analysis, compliance, and simulation capabilities required for even the most challenging projects and how to leverage resources quickly irrespective of geography or size of team to enable integrated project delivery and extent asset lifecycle in many cases.
Asset Lifecycle information management improves information integrity and operational efficiency while streamlining the business processes associated with sustaining infrastructure assets oer their lifecycles.
The Bentley Advantage Seminar was held at The Address Dubai Mall with industry executives from CCC and Arabtec.
The Be Inspired Awards is scheduled to be held at Hilton London Metropole Hotel, London, UK on the 04 to 06 of November 2014 and is the ideal opportunity as part of The Year in Infrastructure 2014 Conference.
