The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) launched its new website www.tra.org.bh. The redesign of the website was a necessary step in line with the TRA’s goals and initiatives to become more accessible to stakeholders, operators and the general public.
It was an important factor for the TRA to provide website visitors with a user-friendly experience. The site’s interface offers simple and fast navigation, making it possible for all visitors to find what they are looking for quickly and easily and also for the Authority to manage and update seamlessly. The website has unique navigation “breadcrumbs” that enables the user to find relative information within two clicks directed anywhere within the website; and it’s designed in a responsive format, which provides an optimal viewing experience through multiple devices where the website self-adjusts to the type of screen whether browsing on a desktop, tablet or mobile smartphone. Usability on the site will allow stakeholders and consumers to find related information more swiftly by providing users with interesting search options throughout their visit. Moreover, advanced filters that can be found on the consultation and numbering pages were added to the site, aiming to help users find documents with ease. The latest infographic statistics and news about telecommunications will also be provided within the site.
“Our organization’s website serves as a virtual hub of information for all parties who wish to communicate with us and learn about us.”, Said Ms. Taiba Al Binali, Acting Director of Consumer Affairs & Media.
“As the regulator of telecommunications in the Kingdom of Bahrain, our website has to reflect our brand, as well as global technological trends in order to represent us as the vanguard of the ICT industry in the region”, Ms. Al Binali added.
The Authority places great emphasis on its daily interactions with stakeholders to achieve its goals and strives to continue building on the successful dialogue. The new website is seen as one of the key elements in communicating the industry’s key priorities transparently.
