The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) participated in the sixth ‘International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience 2014′ (ISNR 2014) organized by the UAE Ministry of Interior from April 1st – 3rd, in cooperation with Reed Exhibitions.
The International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR) serves as an important platform for exchanging insights and expertise on safety, Critical Infrastructure Security and National Resilience. ISNR will include three specialized sections: Homeland Security and National Resilience, Information Security, and Critical Infrastructure Security – together with two co-located events Fire and Emergency Response and the Occupational Safety and Health Conference.
“National Resilience and Emergency Response issues are the basis of all government strategies. Our participation in this year’s edition of the ISNR comes in line with our efforts to support the UAE Vision 2021. ISNR is the region’s leading event that gains remarkable participation and interest from many countries in this region and the whole world. We enjoyed meeting our counterparts in the telecommunications sector from other countries and exchanging knowledge and experience for our collective benefit,” H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of the TRA commented.
“The conference agenda included many themes and issues related to cyber security, which lies at the core of our work and represents the essence of our plans and initiatives. The participation of TRA’s aeCERT team also highlighted a range of significant and innovative projects that we are currently working on,” he added.
TRA assigns a great deal of value on this exhibition as evidenced by its strong participation. The TRA actively works towards raising awareness of all issues relating to cyber security and how best to provide immediate response in case of emergency. This includes cyber-attacks as well as developing necessary protection tools and keeping pace with the latest methods and techniques adopted by the hackers.
