Coiniciding with its efforts to integrate with various economic sectors as well as giving its support for hosting international economic forums in Jordan, Umniah has sponsored the 17th World Congress Forum, which took place at the Dead Sea.
Umniah has given financial and technical support to the forum by providing internet services as well as media and social media coverage.
The CEO of Umniah, Ihab Hinnawi, commented on the company’s recent sponsorship saying, “Umniah’s sponsorship for the 17th World Congress Forum is part of our strategy to coordinate with all economical sectors, supporting local authorities and highlight Jordan as a hub for international conferences that discusses current industrial trends and its developments.”
This year’s forum saw participation from local, regional and global organizations, and was organized by the Columbia Global Centers | Middle East headed by Professor Safwan Masri in collaboration with the International Economic Association under Nobel Laureate Professor Joseph Stiglitz. The forum was held in cooperation of the Economic Research Forum, the Fung Global Institute, International Development Research Centre, Centre for International Governance Innovation, Institute for New Economic Thinking, African Innovation Foundation, King Abdullah II Fund for Development, and Japan International Cooperation Agency.
Economic specialists came together during the forum to discuss four important issues in regards to current global economical challenges and look for practical approaches towards this matter.
Mr. Hinnawi also confirmed that Umniah works with all economic sectors, both private and public, in efforts to benefit from their expertise, find solutions to current local challenges and look for new investment prospects.
