With the latest launch of Zain’s direct payment channel, the company introduces a revolutionary application that is on par with international payment standards. Customers can perform any purchase transaction, online or in-store, by paying for their purchases via their mobile phone balance without the need of using their credit cards. A number of selected outlets already offer Zain customers the privilege of enjoying this dynamic and advanced channel and it is expected that many other outlets will be added to the list in the near future.
By introducing the direct payment channel, Zain is helping customers transact payments much faster and more easily given that the service does not require submission of any personal information or passwords.
Prepaid customers can make use of this channel by performing any purchase transaction using their current available credit, while post-paid customers can simply activate ‘Zain Pay’ by contacting a customer contact center representative on 107. ‘Zain Pay’ is a virtual solution that allows post-paid customers to acquire a rechargeable mobile balance. Customers can consequently use the balance to perform any payment transaction.

Customers can simply pay for their purchases at various selected merchants directly through their phone with ease and peace of mind.” Al Saif continued, “Through the direct payment channel, customers who prefer not to use their bank cards can select Zain as the preferred payment channel as a safe alternative. Zain will soon expand the list of partnering merchants further, and the company will also be diversifying programs and services to the benefit of all customer segments, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly smartphone mobile subscriptions.”
Zain customers can immediately enjoy using the direct payment channel with the following selected outlets: Nokia Store, CashU, Coffee Republic, Second Cup, Coco Cabana, as well as several mobile TV streaming applications, online games, and NFC platforms.
