Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced today that it successfully concluded its platinum sponsorship of the fifth edition of one Kuwait’s biggest health programs entitled ‘Rijeemy’ Health Program. The first of its kind event was held during the Holy Month of Ramadan at Mall 360 and witnessed the overwhelming participation of nearly 1500 participants daily.
Zain mentioned in a press statement that its sponsorship of this distinguished health program, considered one of Kuwait’s biggest events of its kind, was part of its extensive Corporate Social Responsibility campaign towards the health and sports sectors during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Zain’s team reflected the company’s active role by their daily presence to guide participants and provide necessary sports equipment.
The company added that the conclusion ceremony witnessed the attendance of a number of social figures, most notably renowned Clinical and Sport Nutrition consultant Dr. Abdullah Al Mutawa and ?Under Secretary of the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Sheikha Al Zain Al Sabah. Additionally, the company awarded distinguished participants with valuable prizes like bicycles, smart devices, and more.
Zain further added that the program witnessed a number of special activities for participants thorough the daily activities that were held as part of the ‘Rijeemy’ program. The daily Walkathon, one of the event’s most exciting main activities, offered participants and mall visitors a chance to speed walk in Mall 360 alongside the Rijeemy team who provided live health and sport tips.
The company explained that this year’s edition of the ‘Rijeemy’ health program also witnessed the participation of over 30 certified volunteers from ‘Rijeemy Center’, who provided medical advice and health tips to participants as they join the daily activities, in addition to Zain’s team who assisted in organizing the different programs that were held throughout the program’s period.
It is worth noting that Zain organizes and sponsors a number of sports and health projects during the Holy Month of Ramadan, most notably the company’s second “Zain Penalty Tournament” that witnessed overwhelming participation from over 300 youth, in addition to “Zain Special Needs Tournament” that catered to the special needs segment.
