Abu Dhabi-listed telecommunications services provider Etisalat on Saturday apologised to its customers for previous day’s disruption of its mobile and internet services.

“Earlier on Friday, there was a slowdown in the network, which affected our services in certain areas. This has been completely restored in record time, and all services are back to normal,” Etisalat said in a statement.

When contacted the telco’s customer care center, AMEinfo journalists were told that it was experiencing service disruption across the UAE.

Many customers had complained on Etisalat’s Twitter account that they were unable to make calls and access internet.

“Etisalat apologises to its customers for any inconvenience caused due to the unfortunate service disruption which has been completely restored,” the company said on the social media platform on Saturday.

It also offered to provide “suitable benefits” to those affected by the outage in its network without providing details.

“Etisalat values its customers as one of the most important pillars of its continued growth and is constantly aiming to provide the highest quality of services. Etisalat will provide suitable benefits to the impacted customers,” it added.
