All proceeds from du’s Health Tips SMS service pledged to feed those less fortunate this Ramadan
du’s Health Tips SMS service provides customers with inspirational messages, facts and advice approved by the UAE Ministry of Health, direct to their mobile phones every day for just Dhs1 per day! During Ramadan, all subscription fees are donated to du’s Mawaed Al Rahman Iftar tables, through which healthy meals are distributed to those less fortunate in three locations across the UAE.
Health Tips is part of du’s Smart Health services suite, and is the first Value Added Mobile service available for purchase on its new and improved eShop. Customers can choose to subscribe to a variety of focused programmes in English and Arabic, including Live Well, Lose Weight, Quit Smoke, Manage Diabetes, Be Calm and Her Health.
These efforts fall in line with the company’s vision to create a digital ecosystem for the health domain. With the help of partners and industry leaders, du aims to introduce new products and services in the Health domain, which will help contribute towards realizing the UAE’s Smart City and Smart Government vision.
Jawad Shaikh, Executive Vice President – Digital Business, du, said, “Our focus this Ramadan is on sharing with our customers and with the people of the UAE. In the spirit of the Holy Month, we encourage the people of the UAE to adopt healthier habits that will benefit them throughout Ramadan and beyond. We are also providing them with the opportunity to do good for their community while doing good for themselves and sharing the spirit of Ramadan with family, friends and the community.”
