Telecom Egypt (TE) has predicted that, during the first year, its mobile services subscribers will approach five million, around 15% of the company’s household subscribers, Daily News Egypt has reported. The landline monopoly’s projections follow an announcement that the communications and IT ministry is to activate the unified telecoms licence before June 30. The unified licence will allow TE to offer mobile services and become the fourth mobile operator in the country.
