Zain Jordan to spend JD315m on enhancing 3G, rolling out 4G services

Ahmad Hanandeh, CEO of Zain Jordan has said the company will invest around JD315m this year to enhance its third generation (3G) services and introduce fourth generation (4G) services in the kingdom, Jordan Times has reported. The company has received final approval from the government to acquire necessary frequencies to introduce 4G services, which will be launched in the last quarter of 2014 and will first be available in densely populated areas and major cities and then gradually expand, Hanandeh said “4G services are expected to significantly increase data consumption in Jordan,” he noted.
